MisMatch Brewing Co - Benoffee Pie

I
Yesterday I sought out one of my favourite beers by one of South Australia's best craft brewers, MisMatch Brewing. The beer was their Benoffee Pie, exquisite half time brew in North Adelaide at the Archer Hotel, dark chocolate coffee tones with a hint of banana, awesome! Sweet on the pallet, worth a quick walk to warm up, the beer has a complex maltiness that is to be savoured on the pallet, this one is heaven. At 7.1% be wary, Score a perfect 10.

Brew Cult - Outta Sight

This White IPA from Brew Cult in Victoria is a class act, hoppy and fruity with a bitter finish. Sitting at 6.2%, in a 500 ml bottle it will hit you for 2.5 standard drinks. I enjoyed the crisp taste although I prefer them cloudy as a rule. The impressive after taste is a result of the fermentation including lots of hops. The craft brew scene is really starting to include some magnificent beers and I would put this one in the top shelf category score 9.5 out of 10.

Boatrocker Hop Bomb IPA

This Victorian beer is a real find, high in the hops with a malty finish it oozes class with a fruity aroma. It is bitter at 60 IBU and sits at 6.5 % so not to be taken too lightly. The hoppy taste is sweet and flavoursome and really dances on the tongue. I am really starting to enjoy the number of great IPA beers being made in Australia at the moment and this is no exception. This beer lives up to its name as it has hops added throughout the brewing process and it really shows. Score 9.5 out of 10.

The pirate Life Double IPA

Really impressed with this double IPA from this new South Australian brewer. Full on sweet on the pallet with a bitter twang on the finish. Great golden colour, good head, a brilliant combination of Maris Otter, Carapils and wheat grain combine to produce a real IPA at 8.8% it packs a punch. Do not let the sweet aromour fool you with its inviting,  lingering smell. Awesome beer that makes you proud to come from this great southern state! At 120 IBU it certainly is bitter but I like it like that when the flavour is full and fruity. Not cheap but an Excellent beer please serve often a perfect 10.

Jamieson Brown Ale

This brown ale has nice toffee notes and spice with a sweet aromour. The head is high and malty which welcomes the pallet. Cloudy and brown at 4.9% this beer just says 'footy is on so come and enjoy me'. Perfect for sitting back and savouring as your tounge says thanks. Victorian brewer that knows a thing or two about flavour and aromour. I suggest you do yourself a favour and enjoy some this footy season. score 9.8 out of 10.

Rehn Bier - Olde Strong Ale

This ale is a limited edition, numbered, release that promises a rich full ale taste.
The beer is full of rich toffee tones that demand attention on the pallet and nose. At 3.7 standard drinks per 500 ml bottle it is not to be taken lightly as the ABV is 9.3%. My tounge enjoyed the rich flavours that develop as you saviour each drop, not unlike wine. For the beer conisour it will be well worth the trip to the Barrossa Markets to get some. The head drops off quickly due to the low hop in the brew but this goes well with the toffee finish that is more Olde European charm that says "reflect and Enjoy". An exceptional beer that will really appeal to the dark ale enthusiast. Score a perfect 10!

At 6.8 % it comes in at 1.6 standard drinks per 330 ml bottle. Rarely can an IPA be found with such a complex blend of sweet toffee tones, gorgeous aromas and hoppy flavours. This one just says Wow! Coldstream Brewery Crisp Pale Ale

Coming from the Yarra Valley in Victoria I have a very pleasant surprise for the fine beer conisure. The welcoming aromour of caremel is sweet on the nose which welcomes the pallet to a "true to name" experience of crispness and a top notch hoppy finish that lingers to saviour on the tounge. So much so that a second beer was consumed immediately. Notwithstanding the quality alone, This beer is seriously well priced at $15 per six pack. At 4.9% the beer is heady enough to consume as a staple beer. I was impressed by the quality of the hoppy finish and scored it 9.5 out of 10.
