Brew Boys - Seeing Double
Welcome to South Australia and another beer that embarks on a journey for the pallet that you will thank me for. This Scotch ale sits at 8% and has fruity notes on the nose that are akin to a fine wine. The pallet is fresh and fruity like a Spanish ale crossed with an IPA. The balance of fruitiness and deep malts is awe inspiring and makes me proud to claim them as hailing from this great state. As a supporter of fine beer this is a must on your tasting calendar at the Gilbert Street Hotel.
Modus Operandi Red IPA

At 7.8% Modus Operandi have stepped up to the plate once again with a display of perfection that inspires IPA Brewers everywhere to embrace the sweet hops that entrance and entice our tastebuds to enjoy the true fruitiness on our tongues. Embrace a brilliant brewer that knows how to combine hops and malt to a level seldom seen by men! Score a brilliant 10.

Epic Beer - Hop Zonbie
The Gilbert Street Hotel continues to deliver with this outstanding beer from the land of the long white cloud. Rich and fruity with an awesome burst of hops sourced from around the planet this beer has all the answers. Originally born in 2011 this beer is back to the delight of all craft beer drinkers on the planet. At 8.5% it packs a punch as all double IPA's should. The rich flavour is malty depth but the hops set it apart. My next holiday is to New Zealand and Aukland and EpicBeer will be a destination of choice. This beer tanteluzes the tastebuds like a gypsies dancing spell with is fruity hops. Score wow! a perfect 10.

Clare Valley Brewing - Port Barrel Aged Stout
Another fine effort from CVBC. This stout is fruity with an awesome port aroma that invites the pallet with its intriguing almost Spanish beer like qualities. Drinking this in The Gilbert Street Hotel which has become a South Australian Mecca for great craft breweries in Adelaide. The barrel aging process is starting to get traction with many craft brewers delivering speciality brews using similar techniques. I must admit @ 6% the end results are amazing. Deep malts provide a rich chocolate complexity that is sweet finished in the port barrel. Brilliant score 9.8 out of 10.

Barossa Valley Brewing - Canis Majoris
An awesome IIPA that has a sweet fruity aroma that says: I need to enter your mouth! It has excellent citrus hops with pine tones that are expertly balanced by deep caramel malts. This beer has been beautifully crafted by this master South Australian brewer in the home of fine wine, the Barossa Valley! At 8% it makes a statement but does not compromise on the flavour with a fruity bitter pallet that is the trademark of the fines double IPA's around. Brilliant Canis Majoris which is perfectly named after the brightest star in the universe, may all your brewery adventures shine this brightly in the Barossa Valley, score a perfect 10!

Big Shed Brewing Concern - Dr Shedlove
Big Shed Brewing Concern Dr Shedlove Imperial Double Stout, 10% BAV, deep chocolate taste with a sweet to bitter after taste.
